Pastor Andre E. Nettles
(SSHGF) Save, Sanctified and Holy Ghost Filled
Pastor Nettles was born in Selma, Alabama. He is a proud brother of five sisters and one brother, born to Ethylene Jones Nettles, and the late Willie Frank Nettles of Selma, Alabama. He is a graduate of Selma High School, Selma, Alabama.
Pastor Nettles Founder Calvary Temple Church of God In Christ (COGIC) on 9 September 2005. He served as a Deacon and Finance Chairman at Zion Temple COGIC, Anniston Alabama and was later licensed as a Minister in 1995 by Pastor Noco Walls Sr. He was Ordained Elder in the Churches of God In Christ by Bishop Peter Wren, Prelate Alabama 2nd Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction in 1998.
Pastor Nettles established and pastured a mission in Athens, Ohio where he served as the spiritual leader to mainly graduate and
undergraduate students at Ohio University. Upon receipt of Military Orders to move to the Netherlands, he was moved by God once again to reestablish a mission in Vrienenveen, The Netherlands, where
he pastured and ministered to mainly brothers and sisters from African states such as Kenya, Sudan, and Congo just to mention a few. Pastor Nettles was also the co-pastor for the 101st Corp Support
Group (CSG) Gospel services in Iraq for 1 year.
He is a 1983 graduate of Alabama College of Technology, Birmingham Alabama where he earned an Associate Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronic Communication Technology and a Minor in Military Science from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1988. He is currently attending McAfee School of Theology, Mercer University, persuading a Master of Divinity degree.
Pastor Nettles officially retired from the United States Army on 1 November 2008 at the rank of Major after more than 23 years of dedicated service to our Nation. He is a veteran of Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Pastor Nettles is a Educator in the Crawford County School System, were he serve as the Senior Army Instructor. During his 23 years of service Major Nettles served as a Platoon Leader, 782nd, 82nd Airborne Division, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, Executive Officer, Special Forces Command, Training Brigade S4, 3rd Special Forces Group S4 and Service Detachment Commander, Assistant Professor of Military Science, Ohio University, Commander, Combat Equipment Base, Vrienveen, The Netherlands, Brigade S1/Adjutant 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, KY and G1 Force Flow and Requirement Officer for Operation Iraqi Freedom; and a host of other assignments
Military Education Includes: Graduate of Quartermaster Officer Basis Course, Quartermaster Officer Advance Course, Command General Staff College, Human Resource Management Course. He is Parachute Rigger, Parachutist Jumpmaster.
Military Decorations: Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Global War On Terrorist Expedition Medal, Global War On Terrorist Service Medal, Parachute Badge, Parachute Rigger Badge and Austrian Parachute Badge.
Pastor and 1st Lady Nettles celebrated their 23rd Wedding Anniversary in May 2011. They have three daughters Katelyn (23), Taleighia (22), and Adrienne (20)
